Juana, PhD Candidate

I was brought up and educated in Bogotá, Colombia, where I learned to love forests and farms. After doing a masters in Minnesota on the distribution of pelagic Archaea in fresh water lakes, I came to Horticulture looking for a way to connect microbiology to agriculture and everyday human life. Now I look at willow genotypic variation on tolerance to drought and selection of rhizosphere microbial communities.
