Nature of Plants – PLHRT 1115

This introductory course is taught in the spring and fulfills part of the biology curriculum for life science majors. We will examine plant diversity, function, and adaptation. Topics include an introduction to plant community structure, relationships between plants and other organisms, how plants cope in their environments, and plant-human interactions. At the end of the semester, we take the class on a field trip to explore the forest from both below and above the canopy!
